Karyn Berube

Karyn (she/her) is a warm and nurturing Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who values the importance of a trusting therapeutic alliance and a safe, non-judgemental space for individuals to process their emotions. Karyn uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach to work collaboratively with individuals in identifying treatment goals and supporting them on their path to reaching their goals. Karyn has experience working with children and adolescents in various school settings and roles over the last several years. She has assisted families in accessing community resources and wraparound mental health services, in addition to navigating school, community, and state systems. Karyn has a background in working with neurodivergent populations and individuals facing anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, trauma, and family stress. She enjoys incorporating humor, art, and play therapy in treatment where appropriate. Karyn believes in the resiliency and adaptability of all individuals, and in examining the underlying unmet needs driving unwanted behavior patterns. While magnifying the inherent strengths of the individual, Karyn is committed to offering support and skills around patterns and conditions that no longer serve the individuals she works with, allowing space for flexibility, growth, and change. Karyn can be your in person and online therapist.
