Ryan (he/ him) is a LMHC/ LPCC with clinical licenses in Massachusetts, New York, and California. He has 8 years of experience helping adults of all ages who have survived relationship violence, sexual violence, and familial abuse, as well as those struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, and post-traumatic stress.
Ryan's work is founded in person-centered therapy and mindfulness; he allows his clients to lead the conversation in a safe and compassionate space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be accepted, embraced, and explored without being judged. As Ryan likes to say to his clients: "You are in the driver's seat; you control the gas, the brakes, the steering wheel, and the gear. I'm simply in the passenger's seat, holding up a map and helping guide you where you want to go." Through this process, he helps clients work through and let go of the anger, sadness, fear, shame, and guilt that weigh heavily on daily life. Ryan works to foster self-compassion and self-acceptance as a path to healing, believing that when we accept ourselves as we are, we find the strength and confidence to build the peaceful, joyous lives we seek.
